HI. My current setup is 5 sites, each with its own Master virtual controller providing Ap config's (vlan and SSID setup etc). works well. I've just purchased Aruba Central but cant seem to port the existing AP's to Central. I've added the Serial numbers to the portal and assigned the relevant subscriptions.

    Questions as follows:

1 - do i need to factory reset the devices? if so how, without them seeing the VC and then automatically downloading the local Lan config?

I have almost 100 of these AP's to migrate to Central, plus the associated switches too. 34 x M2390F/M's

I've even got 15 brand new AP515's but each time i connect one of the new AP's to the lan they get the local VC's settings and become part of the local mesh of AP's, and NOT part of Aruba Central, even after I've already added the serial and MAC to the device manager part of central.

thanks in advance for any help and direction.

This subject is covered in the Adoption Guide.  Assuming that you aren't blocking communication between the APs and Central, once the APs have been added to GLCP and assigned to the Central application, the control channel should be established within ~5 minutes.

For the new APs, you'd need to bring them up in a management VLAN other than what the existing VC is operating in for the AP to go to Central rather than join the existing swarm.
