  • 1.  Move device to different site

    Hi,

    I have 2 sites setup in Central and I want to move a device from site A to site B but when I go to place it in the site B using the UI I get a 'Site Assignment Error - Can't assign more than 1 site for a device!' is there a way to do this?

    Also, is there a way to delete labels from a device?

    Hi Brett,

    First delete the device from site A. Device(s) will go to unassigned. Now you can add the device(s) to site B.
    For labels the same procedure. Select the label->go to the device section and delete the devices.

    How do you remove a device from a site? This is in the same group with the same vlan mgmt but I have a different site that with same scenario and I was able to move them a while back.

    first you need to go the Global-> Organisation->Site and remove the device from that site.

    generally if you click on "?" and then select documentation centre, it will show you the relevant info.

    Unassign from site A first then assign to site B.

    Navigate to Organization, Sites.  On left grid, find your site and highlight it.  Then see the devices associated to the site on right grid.  Highlight the device you want to remove and click the Trash can to remove it.  

    Then find it in Unassigned on the left grid to move it to your desired site.
