  • 1.  Moving and swapping Mac Sec Module

    Hi there,

     

    I need to move Mac Sec Modules (JH957A)from to different slots in different switches. Are these hot swappable or will I need to power down Switches and replace before powering back up?

    On 5945 you have a restriction, check it here https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docLocale=en_US&docId=a00070797en_us , page 626:

    An interface module is not hot swappable if it has MACsec-capable ports with MACsec enabled.

    As for 5510-HI, seems like those do not support JH957A LSWM18CQMSEC modules at all. I've checked Quickspecs, latest release notes - this module is not mentioned among compatible ones.
