hi experts :]
I have few MSM430 APs and I'm in the process of setting up 802.1x for wireless.
I have an external radius server [MS] and client/machine certificates - all is playing nicely but I found that I cannot
use WPA/WPA2-Enterprise encryption with 802.1x wireless security mode.
can someone [preferably from HP] explain this?
many thanks
sevco
here's some info taken from the AP logs, showing that 802.1x authenticated and connected user is only using WEP:

from the MSM430 tech specs:
802.1X support:
provides port-based user authentication with support for Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) MD5, TLS, TTLS, and PEAP with choice of
AES, TKIP, and static or dynamic WEP encryption for protecting wireless traffic between authenticated clients and the access point.
edit: I'm running the AP in 'autonomus' mode.
so far I have not figured out how to use WPA2 encryption with 802.1x security for VSC.
any ideas ANYONE ?
thx!
