Is there some way to MPSK local and/or Password Identifiers on 6Ghz-enabled SSIDs to allow me to assign user roles based on the password they enter? I am used to MPSK-Local for role assignment but need to get 6Ghz-enabled networks enabled.
As I understand it, MPSK local still (on 8.10.0.6) is supported only with WPA2-AES and my 6Ghz radios don't turn on until I create a WPA3 (or Enhanced Open) 6ghz network. We received a couple hundred new 630/650 series APs and as I understand it the 6Ghz band requires WPA3. I'm happy to move to 8.11 or 10.4 (we are on Central) but I don't see anything about a change there and I don't understand the status and next steps. WPA3 has been supported by Aruba for over 5 years and MPSK local for quite a while but no combination of the two. As I understand it, the equivalent on WPA3 is SAE password identifiers but I don't understand how WPA2-only clients are then handled on that SSID (or how to set up password identifiers in Aruba Central).
So, what should I be doing to get to 6Ghz? Do I have to have separate SSIDs and use MPSK on the 2.4/5ghz one and no multi-password on the 6ghz or am I now forced over to Clearpass? I just want to extend how I used to do it to 6Ghz.
Also, as an aside, can't they add some validation to the SSID creation/modification process where when I enable 6Ghz radios and then select MPSK-Local or WPA2 it warns me that 6Ghz will not work? What is the point of letting me enable features that won't work, especially when the "help" tips are missing for the 6Ghz stuff that has been out for over a year now.
