  • 1.  need a controller‑based solution

I know that Aruba Instant/AP without a controller can work, but for this project I specifically need a controller‑based solution.

I'm planning to buy 35 Aruba Wi‑Fi 6 access points (e.g., AP‑505 or equivalent) plus an on‑prem controller.

    Can you please advise:

    • Recommended AP model for 35 units?
    • Recommended controller model that supports 35 APs (controller‑based)?
    • Required licenses (AP + controller)?

It's difficult to give a definitive answer without more details about your specific requirements. That's why I recommend discussing your situation with your local HPE/Aruba partner, who can provide guidance tailored to your environment.

However, there are several key questions that can help determine the right solution:

    • Why do you need a controller‑based architecture?
Is there a technical or operational reason to choose a centralized controller?

    • Is fast, seamless roaming required?
For example, for moving vehicles like forklifts in a warehouse, or is it mainly an office setting where roaming is less critical?

    • Do you need a centralized or distributed deployment model?
Think about tunneled vs. bridged SSIDs-and more importantly: why?

    • Is 6 GHz (Wi‑Fi 6E) support needed?
For example, to increase capacity or reduce interference.

    • Will AOS10 with Aruba Central be used?
This has a direct impact on architecture, features, and management options.

    • What is the customer's budget?
Are we talking small, medium, or large‑scale investment?

    • What ROI timeframe is expected?
This helps prioritize the right technology choices and deployment model.
