Need advice on Core switch Upgrades

    Hi is there some sort of comparison tool for Aruba as with Fortinet.

    I need to upgrade two clustered HPE 8212zl (J9091A) to a Aruaba 5400 v3 stacked switch but I do not know what to get to stack and cater for new version 3 modules with POE

    the modules I need to upgrade with are

    Hi! words are important...thus a correct wording is essential to avoid misunderstandings: An HP ProCurve 8200zl can't be "upgraded" to Aruba 5400R zl2...an HP 8200zl can be dismissed in favour of an Aruba 5400R zl2.

     

    You need to be specific: what do you mean with "clustered" speaking about your HP ProCurve 8200zl pair? I suspect they could have been configured with DT, VRRP or both...but, for sure, a pair of 8200zl can't be virtualized into one logical entity as a pair of Aruba 5400R zl2 can by means of VSF...

     

    VSF requires v3 zl2 modules...so if you're planning to end with a VSF...be prepared to forget all v2 zl modules.

    The current HPE 8200zl are EOL and they are in VRRP.

    My question is what do I need to establish VSF with 5400 v3 and will I be able to run a POE module on 5412R zl2 J9822A.

    I did propose CX6400 but the client is adiment they want 5412R 

    Your advise is highly appreciated
