Is it possible to to a backup of NetEdit and export it to a ftp server as we can do on Airwave ?

Otherwise, do you know the procedure to backup NetEdit ?
Can we use VMware backup, if yes how can I do ? maybe NetEdit must be powered off .... i didn't find anything

    Thank you

Currently the backup option for Netedit doe snot exist, perhaps it'll be part of the new major release.
That leaves you with the VM backup/snap shots.
As for shutting netedit down, just use a normal VM Guest shutdown process in vSphere to gracefully shutdown the system.

    Hello Ariyap,

Thank you for your confirmation, I prefer not install VMTools because Aruba doesn't say anythnig about it officially.

Hi Florent, two years ago (NetEdit 2.0 era) I started the thread "Aruba NetEdit 2.0: some notes about VMware VM settings" and, at time, one thing I tried was to manually install open-vm-tools to let the VMware to better control the VM (and this could have a positive outcome also with your favorite VM Backup Tool, we use Veeam B&R). I don't know (never checked lately) if open-vm-tools are now part of the latest default installs of NetEdit 2.1 series.
