Hi Chris.
Validation time looks acceptable I agree. I just checked with 10k and it takes approx 5 sec validation + update on one switch. On two switches it takes about a second or two longer..
I would suggest to open the TAC case for this. I have no 6200 to test. I did run test on CX simulator and it took 9 seconds to only validate 3 switches and 37 seconds to validate and deploy configuration on 2 switches and additional 8 seconds to commit configuration. As simulator is not something really fast it is strange that you see long delays in deployment.

Hello Gorazd,
validation of a change runs 20-30 sec .. this is acceptable .. after this .. deploy .. (waiting 5-6 minutes .. )

Hi Chris.
On how you are explaining your problem I'm also not blaming NetEdit resources. How long it takes to do a validation of the change without deployment? Also look into Settings / Validation and check what test you have enabled. If there are many tests to be done before deployment start, it can really prolong the deployment since all tests need to be completed on all selected switches. You can disable tests and see if it will help.
Also I see sometimes that 6100 and 6200 can be really slow in committing the changes.

i have checked the vm settings .. 32 GIG RAM and 6 CPU ( 6 x 3,2Ghz Xeon Gold) for NETEDIT VM ...
no no no .. . .the ressources can not be the problem of extreme slow deploy :-)
Switches are 6 x 6200 with 10.10. ( newest Firmware) . Switches will grow up to 50 on this site ..
6 minutes waiting for one deploy of a minimal change .. is not aceptable (statement from customer) .. not from me :-(

Hi Chris.
It really depend on resources you dedicate for NetEdit, mostly RAM and some CPU. But also depend on what switches you are configuring with. Smaller switches tend to be slower. When I work with 10k or 8400 it is really fast, but on 6100, 6200 can take some time to process verifications and commit changes. I'll not commend speed on Simulator :-). If you would like to shorten deployment time, disable verification checks or just use minimal checks required. More checks you include, slower the deployment will be.
