Hi Everyone,
I installed iMC PLAT 7.3 (E0705P10) on RHEL 8 by following the guideline on Aruba websites exactly. However, the iMC cannot receive any syslog records from managed switches, only the snmp traps incoming.
Can you please advise me on this case? or provide a guideline link for correction?!
Hello,
Are you using Aruba switches or Comware switches?
If Aruba switch then configure this and check:
Aruba(config)# logging <imc server IP>
and if comware switch then configure this and check:
[Comware]info-center loghost <imc server IP>
Thanks!
Yes, I configured the same setting on both Comware and Aruba switches.
Have the switches discovered on imc?
Which traps IMC receiving?
Where are you checking syslogs in imc?
Can you please share snapshots?
Have the switches discovered on imc? Yes, all managed switches have been discovered successfully.
Which traps IMC receiving? SNMP v2c. All snmp traps are being captured properly.
Where are you checking syslogs in imc? Alarm > Syslog Management > Browse Syslog
Trap log
Syslog
Can you check syslog management is deployed in the iMC server and what is the status of imcsyslogdm process in Intelligent Deployment Monitoring Agent (IDMA).
Open IDMA and check imcsyslogdm on Process tab and Syslog Management on Deploy tab.
Also share the snapshot as well.
If possible share snmp configuration from switch.
In fact, all its services are running normally.
I have seen the imcsyslogdm opening udp6 only. Is there anything wrong here?
Is it possible for you to share 'snmp' config from switches?
