Wanted to see if there were any plans to have Aruba servers work with Nutanix hypervisors.  I know in June they made ClearPass work with Nutanix, however we're still on AOS 8.x with a mobility conductor cluster and an expiring VMWare license soon that we will not be renewing. I know traditionally that Nutanix was not supported, but with ClearPass now on board I was curious if the rest will follow.  If not, it needs to.  

The current answer is written right into the AOS-8 Virtual Appliance install guide: "Mobility Conductor Virtual Appliance does not support Nutanix Hypervisor." That line is still there in the 8.12 docs, and the supported list is ESXi, Hyper-V and KVM. AHV is KVM-derived and people have made the KVM image boot on it, but it's unqualified, and I wouldn't run a conductor cluster on a hypervisor TAC can point at.

On the "will it follow" part, nobody here can speak to roadmap, and with engineering effort going to AOS-10 I wouldn't hold my breath for new hypervisor qualification on AOS-8. Push it through your account SE as a formal request anyway. ClearPass got its official AHV support in 6.14 because customers kept asking.

If VMware is definitely going away, your realistic outs are the VMC image on plain KVM hosts (supported and license-free), hardware conductor appliances, or letting this drive the AOS-10 conversation, since that removes the on-prem conductor entirely.
