  • 1.  Onboard certificate issue after onboarding a device

    Hi everyone,

I have successfully deployed all the required components for the onboarding process. However, I encountered an issue after the user provisioning is completed - the client laptop displays the attached error.

I have verified that the certificate was successfully installed on the client by checking via the MMC console.

Has anyone faced a similar issue before?

What product did you use for the onboarding?

What is the client type/OS? Win 10? Win 11? Other?

The message tells that Windows can't access the client certificate. It may be that a different SSID was configured (if using ClearPass Onboard; must be exact match in the SSID name, including case-sensitive; so Corporate Wifi vs Corporate WiFi will not work).

Does it work for other clients/operating system?

    Windows 11?  Is the Wi-Fi adapter Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) perhaps?

    What version of ClearPass?

Same user as was used to perform the Onboard provisioning?  If so, open a case with TAC to determine the issue, you'll need to investigate the logs to figure out where the problem lies.
