  • 1.  Onboarding brownfield devices to Aruba Central

    Hi all,

    I have few queries regarding Aruba Central. In a brownfield deployment, can I onboard those devices that was configured manually using CLI initially (Day-0 & 1) and then continue to configure them using Central in the future for Day-2 deployment? 

    If yes, is it using the Central UI or template group? 

    If the onboarded devices are in monitor mode initially, can I convert them to managed mode without impacting the configuration?

    check the getting Aruba Central getting started guide  for CX switches

    that supports

    • Provisioning Factory Default AOS-CX Switches
    • Provisioning Pre-Configured AOS-CX Switches
    • Monitoring-Only Mode for AOS-CX Switches
