    Hi there,

I am trying my best to set up a Windows Mobile 5 device on our wireless network. As you probably already guessed I've not succeeded :)

    The setup is this:
A HP WPA420 connected to a 5406zl switch. We use Ms IAS with certificates and it is all working great (with PC's that is).

Now, I successfully installed the certificate on the mobile device, and setup the wireless connection. I can see in the IAS log (and the WPA420 log) that the client authenticates successfully. But for some reason it KEEPS authenticating. It never stops, hence I never get a connection. Iøve even tried static IP address.

    Any suggestions?

Maybe I should mention that I've seen this exact problem on our Dell laptops as well!

We used some Intel wireless client software that came with the driver, but it kept re-authenticating. I even talked to HP about it.
We ended up using the WinXP-build-in WPA-client and everything started to work just fine.

But this might indicate that the AP itself has some issues with certain wireless clients! Are there any HP tech guys reading these forums? If there is, maybe you could look a little into this, and find out whether this is a known issue?

    Rgds,
    Rasmus

What sort of encryption are you using on the 420? Have you tried PEAP or any other types of authentication methods? Have you tried the latest firmware 2.1.7?

We're using PEAP yes (MS-CHAP), and all AP's are running 2.1.7.

I canøt remember the security suite, but we've allowed both WPA and WPA2.
