As per the subject I'm looking for the best way to implement printers and devices autentication with Radius server, not clearpass, ideally not having to keep updated a list of mac-address on the radius server or having to created an AD object for each device to authenticate.

Is it possible to do a sort of "device fingerprinting" without clearpass ?

The Switch is an Aruba 5412R ZL2

The "printer or device" would necessarily support 802.1X, otherwise that's not possible. The usual way is to use MAC authentication for those devices.

Currently device fingerprinting integration can happen only with Clearpass.  If you want basic mac authentication, then you can use open source radius server like Freeradius.
