Hi,
I have HPE 5510 and Aruba 2530 . I want to configure Remote Port Mirroring.
I have my UTM in 5510 and my PC in 2530. How can I configure remote port mirroring based on the scenario mentioned.
Regards,
Manish Chawda
Hi @ManishChawda
I assume your setup should be UTM -> 5510->2530->PC and I suspect you would like monitor the traffic in UTM on your PC ( Correct me if i am wrong )
I suggest you to refer below document where it explains about port mirroring (HPE) / Monitoring ( Aruba ) with config examples
For HPE 5510 , refer Page 172 for Config Example of port mirrorhttps://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=c04904803&docLocale=en_US
For Aruba 2530, refer page 162 to configure port mirrorhttps://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=c04904803&docLocale=en_US
@jmpk
Yes, you have understood my query 100%. Thanks for the reply.
So I hope that the query and the solution which you suggest support remote port mirroring as per my query.?
I will go through the link and reply ASAP.
I suggest to checkout below link to configure port mirror on Aruba 2530 device.

I understand that you like to mirror the interface which connected between UTM and 5510 and monitor it on PC connected to 2530. And more over both are different platform devices , due to this your request is complicated .
Its possible you to connect your laptop on 5510 and test it ? or you may need to do remote port mirroring on 2530
I have'nt tried since the production might get affected due to my experiement.
But can share commands which I need to write on 5510 and 2530.
I have already gone through the same documents, but the issue is 5510 is L3 and 2530 is L2. Whatever commands and example are given is being supported on L3 i.e. 5510 but not on L2 i.e. 2530.
What to do to achieve on L3 having UTM connected and L2 having my PC connected.
Please advise.
