Problem with HP 1950 switch (JH295A)

    Hi all, found a JH295A in the storage. Seems to power up normally but only the SYS LED is lit. Plugging in cables brings not on any status LEDs. Since the switch lacks a reset button I am now stuck with a management cable and Putty. Any help is appreciated.

    Hello, Chris.

    Do you have CLI access to it, at least?

    If you do, you can reboot the switch while connected to it via console and break the normal boot proccess, skipping the startup configuration and bringing it to factory defaults. Then, you can test it too see if the ethernet ports are ok.
