    HI,

I would need someone enlighten me:

I have 8 Procurve swtiches with the first one configured with a static IP and gw, netmask, etc..

I find out the rest 7 are using dhcp to get IP assiged, which is not desired.

We need only one IP to govern all. In this case, can someone tell me how to configure the rest of them? If I disable the IP, would that work without having problem?

It's very appreciated if getting help sooner, as I need to fix it.

    Steven

You should be able to issue the
    no ip address
command to each switch. It shouldn't hurt anything unless you stacked them using their IP addresses.

    Hi Steven,

You'll need an IP addr per switch in order to manage them. The alternative is to install the stacking module into each of them, set the 1st one as the commander, set the rest as members.
