    Hi All

We have an blade server BL870, in which there is the above switch (ProCurve 6120XG Blade Switch) in which we are experience some difficulty in using it.

To connect with the ethernet network we do not have the right  SFP´s for it, but we are using other HP sfp´s, and when we run the following:

    show tech transceivers

    transceivers

    Transceiver Technical Information:
     Port # | Type | Prod # | Serial # | Part #
     -------+-----------+------------+------------------+----------
     17 | SFP+SR | 455885-B21 | MV92P87 |
     18 | SFP+SR | 455885-B21 | MV92P71 |
     19 | SFP+SR | 455885-B21 | MV92U65 |
     20 | ?? | ?? | unsupported |
     22 | ?? | ?? | unsupported |

so the "unsupported" message is indicating a problem with SFP, please correct me if I am wrong!

    when running:

    show interfaces brief

Status and Counters - Port Status

                      | Intrusion MDI Flow Bcast

its show all this ports, but not sure what port is actually connected to the blade server!

    How to find out this?

Please could also tell me how could I change the time, because when running:

ProCurve 6120XG Blade Switch# show time
    Sun Oct 21 01:50:55 1990

    its a wrong time.

Normally HP/HPE network equipment is pretty relaxed when it comes to unsupported transceivers, and it will work most of the time. Looks like 6120XG might be an exception to the rule. We use original transceivers in our 6120XG switches, so I cannot do confirm.

Date and time can either be set by configuring the switch to use NTP server or by using the time command:

    timesync sntp
    sntp unicast
sntp server priority 1 x.x.x.x oobm   (if you're using the oobm interface for management)

    time 08/16/17 12:52

453154-B21 seems to be the product number for the transceiver you want.
