I am seeking L2 switches that support SNMP.

I read the overview page of ProCurve Switch 1800 and find out this switch supports SNMP(Read only).

However,It isn't specified what kind of MIB does it support.

I want to know which SNMP manager can get each port status(Link up or down) on the switch or not.

To know the current operating status of each port, you can query the MIB ifTable - specifically look for 'ifOperStatus' [iso(1).org(3).dod(6).internet(1).mgmt(2).mib-2(1).interfaces(2).ifTable(2).ifEntry(1).ifOperStatus(8)] entries in this table.

1800 supports the standard MIB's and some HP specific MIB's. To get complete list of MIB's, check out

    Let know if that helped?
