    Hi,

     

    We have bought 2 HP3500yl-48G-PoE Switches (J8693A) and are investigating the way to set them up. 

     

    Stage 1

    To start with we would like to have distributed trunking between them so we can have 2GB active/active on our servers. 

    Furthermore we would like to create a VLAN for handheld terminals in a different IP range, those terminals need to connect to a specific application server to run SAP ITS Mobile.

     

    Stage 2

    Adding GBICS and add another swith to the other end in the other building.

    The Handheld VLAN also needs to be setup on the other building.

     

    We curently have 2 2910al swiches setup for the iSCSI SAN seperate from our LAN Network. When we are going to move 2 of our P4300 nodes to the other building the iSCSI and LiveMigration VLAN need to be added to the 3500yl switches.

     

    Can someone give us a quickstart in terms of pointers and link to best practise documentation?
