  • 1.  Red Light on IAP-277

I have been running 2 IAP-315s in my house (bought as HPE refurbs on Ebay) for several years.  I decided to increase my outdoor coverage and purchased an IAP-277.  I configured it and got it running off my POE switch in my house and everything was working perfectly.  When I moved it outside I connected it to a POE+ injector and then into my non-poe router (its closer).  Since that change I get a red light on the indicator and non of my devices will connect to it.

Everything I've found online so far says a red light indicated insufficient power but pulling a TSD I can see:

    Power Status
    ------------
    Item                        Value
    ----                        -----
    Power Supply                : POE-AT
LLDP Power                  : Successfully negotiated at 20.8W
Current Operational State   : No restrictions (Overridden by LLDP)
    HW POE status               : POE-AT

Searching the logs I can't find anything for "error", "alert", "failed", "red", etc.

Does anyone else know a reason for the red light or something else I can look for in the logs?

Solid Red means "general fault" according to the installation guide here:  https://www.arubanetworks.com/techdocs/hardware/aps/ap277/ig/AP-277%20IG%20Rev%2001_EN.pdf

You could connect your PC to the usb console and see if it says anything.
