Hi.

When i login console to aruba switch 25xx at first time, im able to login with default access, user id:admin and password:admin.
After it joining to the aruba central and into the VC, im not able to login.
What is the user and password after join to aruba central?
Is there a way can reset the admin password by console?

fyi, when i console to the switch, it prompt hp-25xx-28g> , it greater sign and not hash prompt.

Hi Fathin,

Need a little bit more info for this.

Normally when a switch prompt with an > instead of an #, you should enter the commando "enable". You will be prompt to fill in the user name and password​.

But when you use Aruba Central, it is also possible you have set an password in Aruba Central, that all depends the way you have configured Aruba Central. Did this switch joined an existing template group with other (configured)switches? Perhaps in this config a password is set.

You say that is has joined the VC, do you mean Virtual Controller? Because an HP2530 can not join an Virtual Controller, this is only for Instant access points. 

When you use a GUI config in Aruba Central you can set the password under the switch config tab "System" -> "Access/DNS"

Easiest is to follow Kevin's advice to set the Admin password from Central. Further, the default password is set to the Group-password that you set when you created your Group in Central. Then either admin + group password or manager + group password should get you in with the # prompt.

If managed through Central, use Central to 'reset' the password. There is no password recovery, you can reset the full switch to factory default with the reset pinhole on the switch. Check the user guides for details.
