Long story short - the hyper V Aruba Mobility Conductor is bricked.   We were able to standup a new Virtual and use ISO for a new Conductor, but of course our backup failed on this virtual.  No Airwave, so we had no automatic backups, and the config & flash were never copied from the virtual.   We have a pair of 7205 controllers with Flash & Config backups.   Can we restore the conductor from these backups?

I always recommend to create auto backups of the Mobility Conductor. Not a VM backup but really a configuration backup.

To your question. No it is not possible to directly restore a controller backup on the conductor. However, when you rebuild the conductor you can copy/past the 7205 config in the right level in the conductor. However, you still have to make same manual configuration changes in the Conductor to rebuild the configuration.

And the controllers will still have to be joined to the new MCR even after you've recreated as much of the configuration as you can.
