Hi Michael.
Do you read through the stacking best practice guide ?
https://community.arubanetworks.com/HigherLogic/System/DownloadDocumentFile.ashx?DocumentFileKey=fdfe116d-c9bf-4136-9c83-73217f9b2646I would expect the renumbering / provision to work for you in a the way you describe.
I have tested with 2x 2930F in VSF in VSF config and changed from 1&2 to 2&3.
The command for VFS is "vsf" and not "stacking" btw.
To remove the conductor/commander you would have to failover that role first with
redundancy switchover
That is for a running setup, for a new setup you would just provision the VSF stack as desired.

Subject: Set VSF Member Number
Hi all,
my question: Is it possible to set up a 3-switch-VSF-stack with only member ids 2,3,4?
As far as I know this should be possible, but what happens if I auto-join a fourth switch to the stack? I suspect it would join with the member id 1.
Has anyone done this before?
Thanks in advance
Greetings
