Yes, it retain backups based on config archived setting, I see in screen shot two backups taken on same days, can you check in current 17 backups, how many backups are taken on same day. When ever config changes made in switch using airwave it do audit and take backup.
Under Groups > Firmware page we have two option , Firmware File server & Update List of Aruba Image Versions:.
When we click on update image option , it will prompt below message
Activate credentials not yet configured.Configure the same in Additional AMP Services Page.
We have option to update images online for that we need activate account and update those details under AMPSetup > General > Additional AMP Services page.
https://activate.arubanetworks.com/registration/
I have saved the topology preferences under action tab and logout and login it is still present. May be try different browser and check once.

Subject: severals questions airwave
Hi,
I use airwave to managed switches aruba in R/W mode, I have some question about usage of airwave :
Version : 8.2.12.0
Retention period of backups :
I would like to know the retention period of switch backups in airwave.
I see this setting in AMP Setup -> General: Archived Device Configurations (1-100) -> default is 10. So I understand it's 10 backups. But I have equipment here where there are 17. ..
So, how does retention work?

Proxy configuration
Is it possible to configure an explicit proxy in AIRWAVE? The goal is to download automatically up to date firmware rather than add manually in airwave.
I know we can set proxy when we upgrade firmware of airwave.
I would like to know if we could set it definitely.
Topology save
We can adjust manually the topology in order to have a map customized, but when we disconnected from airwave, topology was deleted. Is it possible to save definitely the map ?
Thank you
