Hi there
First time poster here. I'm also not a network engineer, just an IT generalist trying to wrangle our newest tech kit - full Aruba Central managed APs, switches and gateways.
Our latest issue involves SIP traffic seemingly closing for 5 or 10 seconds before re-registering. The SIP traffic sessions never seem to last longer than a minute or so before disappearing from the Sessions tab. It never seems to stay active for longer than 2 minutes. At this time, calls cannot be made into the phone system. Existing calls don't drop. We have a workaround where we are routing traffic out through another gateway on that LAN (4G router), and there are no problems with calls. Granted, we are not able to drill down to see when the SIP traffic has stopped on this device but after a couple of weeks and a heap of testing, we only get the below happening when routing out through the Aruba gateway.
The SIP server is a popular Australian supplier, external to our network. Our gateway routes traffic straight out to the internet - there is no SDWAN or anything else outside of the gateway perimiter.
I have a TAC call open but after a couple of troubleshooting sessions, the engineer isn't even able to take a pcap.
Does anyone have any thoughts on the matter?
