The offline tool was a predictive tool to provide predictive coverage and was a Windows version of the RF planning tool that is also in Airwave. It was never a walk around with a laptop tool.
I guess I have to ask what is your need with a site survey tool? Do you need to do deployment planning, or do you need to do a post deployment survey?

I pulled down and read all of the Aruba documentation on performing site surveys. Unfortunately, the tool used is the offline version of Visual RF Plan which is no longer available. I know it is accessible via AirWave but that at first glance does not appear useful in the whole "walk around with a laptop" for planning/AP placement purposes as described in the documents I pulled down from Aruba. Especially in a currently non Aruba wireless environment.
Is there a replacement tool and/or updated documentation? If what's online is not valid it should be at least updated to remove reference to the tool or eliminated all together.
What is the current procedure?
