how to change SSID name?
I tried using ESSID config but the portal does not allow to modify.
any other way?

It looks like you're doing things the right way...
Just to discard any possible browser cache issues, I'd try to do the same from an incognito/private window.
If that still doesn't help please open a TAC case to get it checked.
Please click on the "Configuration Audit" option on the LHS & see if there are any overrides that might be preventing the configuration to get pushed.
nothing. it is the first place i checked for some insight for troubleshotting.
today it works.
it appears this kind of config only will be made on groups configuration and not over a single VC or ap.
that makes sense.
i suggest a error popup if this config will be attempted from the situations mentioned before.
I just checked this in lab and i am able to change the ESSID on a group level and as well as per IAP level.
Are you using 6.5.4.4?
