  • 1.  Static IP to AP New Central

    As the title suggests, is there a way to assign a static IP to an AP in New Central? Nothing stands out in system profiles. Thanks in advance and apologies if this has been answered already; I couldn't find any guides or threads on this question.

    Note that it's really not recommended to run static IP on APs; all is designed with DHCP for zero touch provisioning and if you ever want to move APs to another subnet, with DHCP that is a easy job, with static you probably need to touch every AP.

    But having said that, IF you REALLY want to configure static IP for the AP with New Central, go in the configuration hierarchy to the device where you want to configure the static IP, then create a Local Profile, where you can switch from DHCP to Static:
