Hello I have query related to snmp profiling.
We don't want subnet scan.
So we configured snmp community on network devices in cppm both l2 and l3.
Aruba document days that arp read is only to be enabled on l3 and not on l2 switch.
My query is once cppm read arp from L3 ,will it query each Mac address in arp table for snmp ?
We want to avoid cppm to endpoint connection .
Can't cppm do profiling based on arp table itself?
What if a particular Mac address does not respond to snmp?
If we use l3 switch , is there a need to configure snmp communty on l2 switch in cppm?
This whole exercise is for devices having static IP addresses
