Hello,

After Update my virtual mobility Master from 8.3.0.3 to 8.4.0.1 no ap is connecting anymore!

In the logs i See the error: Switch licence not installed, ignore ap request!

Under licence, i can see the installed licences, compared the SN and ID from both Version are the same!

I only habe the VMC in my infrastructur - no MM!

Restored 8.3.0.3 everthing is working!

Maybe someone have an idea?

What all licenses do you have installed? And do you have any aruba switches pointed at the controllers?

in the network there are aruba switches, but not pointed to the controller.

I have installed this licence:
75 active AP
64 expired AP (from Demo)
75 active PEF
75 active RF
80 active MC-VA-RW

Yes 1 VMC and 75 APs.
Started with 8.2 (1year Abo) and upgraded to 8.3 with no problems in the past!

Did you check if the VMC license is still valid?

 

Did the VMC move to a different host?

If the mac address of the VMC (or MM) changes it could cause the vmc or mm license to become invalid as the license passphrase is changed.

 

 

No migration to different hardware Server, no changes in vm settings!

I compared the SN and passphrase, both are the same!

Maybe the expired lic-ap is causing an issue?

 

Are you able to contact Aruba TAC on this issue?

 

 

I only can make a ticket with my login, is this the best way?

At least that is step 1.

Sorry, I meant what is the 'show license' output or a screenshot of your licenses? Are you US or some other regulatory domain?

 

Reason I ask, EARLY MC-VA licenses were NOT country locked. Regulatory rules changed now where we have MC-VA-US, MC-VA-RW, MC-VA-IL, MC-VA-EG, and MC-VA-JP. The MC-VA *should* have converted to the country code your contorller was configured for, BUT if that got messed up (maybe you had multiple country code APs, hard to tell) but if the MC-VA-XX doesn't match the APs or controller, it would not work.

Controller was installed for DE, all APs and licences are RW!

Its is production wlan.

Update to 8.3.06 works fine!

So the RW licenses is correct for DE country code. I would start with TAC if you haven't already, that's something new I've never seen.

 

i tried to remove the trailkey, but you cant delete trail keys! (only with wipe controller).

 

I open a case, now wainting to response.
