Cloud Managed Networks

I have an on prem Central however when looking at the reports it generates it advises of a Operating System that as far as I'm concerned should no be there however when i look into clients I cannot see this operating system. The report gives me what Operating systems that have been used on the network but does not include any drill down to IP / MAC or even what network it was connected to. I only want to know why this system is connecting to my network and where is is connected to Ideal with a MAC address or user.

Then on top of this I have a user accessing an application that is allowed on the network but breaks our own internal AUP but again it just gives me the application name and no way to trace it, having the same issue as with Operating systems.

I would have thought these would be basic tasks to discover this, any help with this or am i missing something?

It's hard to tell something based on so many unknowns and not seeing what you see.
