    hi to all,

any idea how to delete IP and VLAN  in a group level?

this is a lab simulation. upon exploring, i get lots of error in deleting the 2 vlans and its IP.

a.tried to modify vlan 25 ,static with no ip as default. but i get this error

b.tried the no controller-ip but got this error

c.tried to delete the vlan 26 but still

d.tried to delete vlan 25 but it became the controller-ip address. unable to delete at GUI or CLI.

any idea how to delete these vlans?

    TIA :)

    Hi Harvey,

Factory default would work :) just kidding...

Be careful about group/device levels. Maybe you have an IP configured at device level, which prevents you from deleting the vlan at the group level.

Change the controller ip to a different vlan (one that will remain) before doing other changes. The command "no controller ip" probably means the same as "controller ip vlan 1".

At the MD level, you should switch the controller ip (management VLAN/ip)  to a different VLAN before attempting to delete that VLAN.

    I appreciate your responses.

since the VLAN 25 was made at HO group it reflected to MCs with I.Ps. i was able to delete the ip interface of vlan 25 per MC but still unable to delete the VLAn 25 itself since it was inherited.

all MCs are in their correct controller IP (VLAN 50). so vlan 25 is not in used/referenced. :(

This is a known issue and a bug ticket has been raised and it will be fixed in an upcoming release.  Looks like it has missed the 8.7.1.5 cycle though.

For reference I hit this issue when at the folder lever I configured the vlan to be dhcp-client.  This went fine but afterwards I was unable to remove it as you described above.
