  • 1.  Unable to download 10.07 for 8325

    Hey gang,

I put in a ticket a couple days ago, but haven't heard back, yet.

Curious if others are seeing the same issue as me.  I've got 6 of the JL635A, listed as "Aruba 8325-48Y8C 48p 25G 8p 100G Swch", but that part number isn't on the list that pops up when I try to download 10.07.

    What's up with my model?

    I've got the 6300 and 6200's upgraded.

    Thanks!

They are all bundles (as one could indeed to expect)...technically speaking - from what I know - the JL635A SKU is the pure "generic" chassis of the "Aruba 8325-48Y8C 48p 25G 8p 100G Switch" model without any of its FRUs (here with FRUs I mean the Power Supplies and also related Fan Units). Note that a Switch should not be sold with that SKU "as-is" only (at best it can be seen as a "Spare part" if needed).

That SKU is used as a base, by installing proper FRUs it became a characterized build of either the JL624A Front-to-Back bundle SKU or the JL625A Back-to-Front bundle SKU (here how they are composed).

Note indeed how ArubaOS-CX software download permission is tied to registering bundle SKUs and not the chassis alone.

What's about pinging Aruba TAC again?

    Davide,

Thanks for the info.  That does indeed appear to be the case - the 'Base' sku isn't included on the support site for 10.07.
Checking the invoice, we did purchase the part number JL624A#ABA, which includes the JL635A and the proper FRUs.

I went back to the ticket and found that a reply had been sent, but it didn't make it to my email (I checked message trace in O365 and it never hit our server).  He had replied with an FTP download so I was able to get the file downloaded.

I also replied with this info about the bundle/vs raw part#, so hopefully this will be fixed soon.
    Thanks again!
