Our wireless access controller 745wl gets the error below about 3 times per second continuously. The IP address it references belongs to a Windows server whose primary purpose is Symantec Corporate Edition anti-virus. Any ideas? thanks.

Kernel: IP address 172.16.4.7 moved from 00:0a:5e:50:43:c7 to 00:0a:5e:50:42:c5 on the network side

    Hi

Does this server has a dual NICs ?

If yes, then did your properly teamed them ?

You can anyway add this server (if you want) as a network device in the 745wl by its mac address.

    Good Luck !!!

Thank you Mohieddin Kharnoub for your reply.

I added the server's MAC addresses into the 745wl access controller but could not stop the error from appearing. I tried a variety of rights (essentially varied from blocking IP traffic from it to giving it full rights), but the error message continues. If you were to add its MAC address, what rights do you think I could assign it to prevent this error from appearing.

It doe shave dual NICs that are teamed and appear to be teamed correctly.

    thanks.

    Hi

What i know that Teaming will create a Virtual MAC that represents both NICs and the 745 should not see the real MAC addresses.

If you just telnet to the switch where one NIC of the server is plugged and ping its IP 172.16.4.7,
    then run: show arp
Note down the MAC you see, and compare it with what you get, and you can do the same on the switch where the other NIC is plugged.

I'm sure there is something missing here on the teaming, because the 745wl like any other network devices, should not see the real MAC addresses of the NICs, but it should see the Virtual one after teaming.

    Good Luck !!!
