Hello, the SKU J9803A refers exactly to the HP 1810-24G v2 Switch, so v2 family (not the v1 family simply identified by HP 1810).
The HP 1810-24G v2 Switch software releases available on ASP are, among all known to be reported by various Release Notes along the years, the below ones in bold:
Version Release date Based on
PL./PM.2.10 2018-06-01 PL/PM.2.09

PL./PM.1.4 Internally released

PL./PM.1.2 Internally released
Probably you were confused by what is reported in this old thread: the 1.20 they were referring to should be used as an intermediate software build to move on the 2.x software release line but that is valid/required for the 1810 v1 Switch family, not for the v2 (see at the end what is reported, which is what is found on the PL./PM.2.10 Release Notes).
Given the above you should be able to directly upgrade from PL./PM.1.9 to PL./PM.2.10 with a single jump.

Subject: Updating J9803A to latest firmware, P1.20 needed?
Hi!
I'm trying to update my 1810-24G currently on 1.9 to the latest firmware, but I seem to have issues uploading both via http and tftp.
I'm reading through the instructions and it says to install P1.20 first, but that's no longer available... Is it still needed? What's the process for 1.X -> Latest FW?
