    Posted Dec 03, 2025 08:49 PM

Looking to upgrade our access points. We have 2930m switches stacked and just added cx-6300m switches to the top of each. We moved our access points to the 6300's. We currently have 36 access points at one school and 26 access points at the other configured in Aruba Central.  Looking at the 700 serious to cover us for the next 5 years. Any recommendations or feedback? Thank you,.Matt

We currently have 62 AP-505's. We were looking at going with the 725's.

There should be no issues moving to AP-725s, obviously, AP-725 only support AOS10 firmware.

So in case your current APs are running Instant firmware (AOS8), then you need to create a new Central group for AOS10 and configure it accordingly which is almost identical to Instant configuration.

But if your existing APs are already running AOS10 firmware, then all you have to do is move the new AP-725s to the existing Aruba Central AOS10 groups and it will inherit the groups configuration.
