  • 1.  upgrading Colubris MSC5100 with HP MSM710 firmware?

    Hello,

    I have MSC5100-M-EU MSC-5100 Enterprise Mobility Wireless controller with software version COS 5.2.1.

    Now, we are having some issues and we need to upgrade to newer version but first we have to figure out how support is transfered to HP and is it possible to upgrade this at all ? Can somebody shed some light on this here?

    You can do that without any issue.

    I already did that on a MSC-5100 (no longer usable due to too many early firmware running on it) and assuming the risk possibility.

    Upgrade was successful and currently the unit is correcly operating (re-branded in HP MSM 710 in the Web Management).

    HP took over all Colubris warranties and contracts, and these are all expired years ago. No Colubris-branded device has any warranty anymore, it's not even possible to purchase a support contract for them. So we do not provide any kind of support for them at all.
