Hi Gurus
Happy Friday
1] DTC Query:
Can a 16MX be upgraded to a 16RX
<J2064A>?
If so - what's involved?
I'm not concerned about support
2] HP printer Query:
Is there a current product that will print from DOS?
Prefer an inkjet if possible
Cheers - Mike</J2064A>

Printer - any deskjet with a parallel interface should print from DOS.

[I may soon have a need for a qty. of 16RX's & we can get hold of older stuff more easily than the 16RX]

Sorry Mike, there is no DTCs that can be usgraded to a 16RX. DTC 16RX where one of a kind, more geared to the UX market than the other DTCs which where more MPE.

It is possible to upgrade a 16TN to a 16RX - we had a number of these upgrades performed about 6 years ago.
I believe that it was carried out according to a procdeure supplied by HP.
Unfortunately, I no longer have the associated doumentation.

From the Product Support Plan
"The DTC 16RX is based on the same hardware platform as the DTC 16MX
but running a different code. No migration path is provided from a
DTC 16TN, iX or MX to a DTC 16RX. New hardware must be ordered."
