When the connection to a controller is lost, the AP will try to failover to the backup LMS (if that is there), and reboot if the firmware version on that controller is different.
If there is no backup LMS, it will reboot after some time. You can control that behavior with the
retry settings as described here.

Our 14 APs(305) in the remote location are set to forward mode bridge under a separate virtual ap group. There is an ipsec connection with where the controller(7205) is located. When there is an interruption in the IPSec connection, the bridge mode apps restart. What could be the cause of this problem?
