I have a customer that does not want VM passwords to expire. I realize under the VM CoS you can set this to 999 days which the customer has agreed is good enough. I have set this on numerous of my VM servers and it still makes the user change the password every 30 days.Is the 999 days actualy over the limit the server can process and if so what is the max I can not find info on this in any doccumentation.

Hey vcxguru68, we had the same problem and then changed the COS to 999. Did you get the option when you changed it to replicate it all current users?

Yes we have clicked the save and update users option and still no good.

uh you asked but yes oh and we set all CoS to 999

Are you using primary and secondary IPM servers? If you are is possible they are not synched up?

This is ahppening enterprise wide and we have distributed VM each branch has it's own VM server so there is no sync because the branches have no secondary VM server.

What version of code are you using?

Also, if you create a new user does that new users password also expire after 30 days?

Have you tried setting PasswordLife to 0 ?



This turns off the password life feature all together and leaves it alone forever. Never expires.

Setting life to 0 does not appear to work either. I have users in that cos reporting pass word about to expire.

Did you update via CoS or at the user level? If at the CoS level, you'll have to update the CoS. A lot of people make the mistake of just changing the value, but not pushing the update. To do so, in the blue gui, after making the change, click on UPDT to update the changes to all users of the CoS.
