  • 1.  Voice vlan config and jumbo frames on Cx switches

    Posted Dec 14, 2020 08:55 PM

    Hey,

I've been looking at the Cx documents at the voice feature command and I'm unsure how to apply voice vlan to access ports.

on the Cisco, switch port voice vlan ### gives the port that extra vlan  what do we do on the cx?  I've added voice to the vlan config, but I don't see how to add those vlans to the ports

re jumbo frames - for the 2930, we added jumbo to the wireless access point vlan.

I haven't found that in the docs yet for the Cx switches.

Any guidance?  A sample config with WiFi aps, VoIP phones and downloadable user roles with clearpass would help a good bit.

    Hi,

You need to configure voice on the vlan.

for MTU, you need to change on the interface

    ------------------------------
PowerArubaSW : Powershell Module to use Aruba Switch API for Vlan, VlanPorts, LACP, LLDP...

PowerArubaCP: Powershell Module to use ClearPass API (create NAD, Guest...)

PowerArubaCX: Powershell Module to use ArubaCX API (get interface/vlan/ports info)..

    ACEP / ACMX #107 / ACDX #1281

if my sample config looks like this:

    interface GigabitEthernetx/x
    switchport access vlan 805
    switchport mode access
    switchport voice vlan 882
    spanning-tree portfast

What is the AOS-CX equivalent of it on a 6400 running 10.6?   TIA.

    Hey,

I think this is partly right - something like this:

    Vlan 882
    Name voip
    Voice
    ...
    Int 1/1/x
    Vlan trunk native 805
    Vlan trunk allowed 832,805

    Thanks,
    Phillip
