    I’ll try to be brief and here is the fact. I’m designing the network for a small college. Near a dozen of servers, 350 workstations and 120 IP phones (5 WiFi on 2,4Ghz).

    The challenge is I want to provide on one of the radio on the AP530 the VoIP VLAN. On the other radio, I want to provide two VLANs with two SSID’s. Let’s say;

    VLAN 2 SSID VoIP on Radio1 set to 11b/g.
    VLAN 3 SSID SLC on Radio2 set to 11b/g
    VLAN 4 SSID ZAP on Radio2 set to 11b/g

    IDM will also be deployed and I have only small knowledge about this module but in theory that seems feasible. Am I right?

    It would be greatly appreciated if you can help me.

    on the 530, altho it does have 2 radios: 1-a/b/g & 1-b/g, remember it only has 1 internal 2.4Ghz antenna, so in order to use both radios in b/g, you will need to install 1 external 2.4Ghz antenna...

    the 530 can support up to 16 SSID-to-VLAN assignments, so to support the 3 you need is no problem...and you configure which radio (radio1 or radio2) supports which SSID/VLAN...

    IDM is used in addition to 802.1x for more granular user based controls...you can use IDM to also provide authentication for the users and it can provide for dynamic vlan assignment (even 802.1x can do both of these) of user-to-vlan, but since you reference static SSID/VLANs 802.1x/IDM may not be really needed here...depends on what else you wanted IDM to do for you...
