I have a customer that has (2) V3001s connected via a MPLS circuit with VTL ports.  Whenever an extension across a VTL port is added to a conference it is dropped.  Is IGMP multicast traffic used across the VTL port during conf calls?

    Yes

MPLS comes out of the box , say , default installation  , with no Multicast enabled . The NBX needs Multicast for a conferenc ecall as the calls go between systems .

Contact your provider and have them build Multicast / IGMP etc  just like a router set up for Multicast on the NBX in a subnet network .
