Wireless Access

Hello all, is Aruba working on software configurable radios to account for different orientations? For example ARM would be able to reconfigure the radios and the RF pattern if I were to mount an AP as if it were a wall clock instead of a ceiling mount? I already know it is not considered a "best practice" But I have talked to other network vendors who tell me they have omni directional APs with that can be programmed for a wall mount

No, there isn't anything like that for omni directional APs.

For directional APs, there is the AP-679 which has software selectable beamwidth (wide 90x30 or narrow 30x30). 

When we have done wall mounting, we have used the Aruba APs that use external antennas and then attach omnidirectional antennas to the APs. We commonly do this in our student residences, many of which do not have good ceiling access.
