Wired Intelligent Edge

Hi,

I am new to hp switches. My issue is that i can access our 5406zl using putty. it does not prompt me for a user, just a password. this works fine and i can access the switch no problems.

When i try using the web interface it takes me to the gui but when i try to access the vlan config it prompts me for the username and password. i uswe root & the password but this failes. i assume the password is correct as this works when using putty. does anyone know the username for the switches?? I have tried the usual, admin, Admin etc

closing tread. a hole that set up the switch originally does not like using usernames!!
