    Hi all,
    for exaple, I have 1 controller  and 1 clearpass server and I can manage  users  with role. 

    so this topic about, what who do deep packet inspection?
    is it controller or clearpass?

    ClearPass is a policy server. It is not in the datapath. The controller does datapath inspection.

    Is Clearpass receiving the all profiling, role, catagory information from the aruba controller?
