I'm seeing a lot of 'for 500 series' brackets advertised, and I'm guessing that a MNT-D bracket could be the one I need. I need something that can be screwed straight into a ceiling joist through plasterboard, as this is an old building, not a modern office. Could someone give me the part code for the correct bracket? I'm looking to buy one in the UK.

The weight of the 655 is amazing. I wonder what's inside there. I have to be quite careful about mounting to make sure that the attachment site can take the weight comfortably

Many thanks. It's a pain that I have to buy ten when I only need one. Do the 500 Series WAPs take the same brackets? I ask because I can see MNT-D parts listed for sale but with no mention of the 655 in the 'works-with' list, only 500 series WAPs.

That is probably because the 655 was introduced later than the MNT-D. When you check the AP 650 series ordering guide, you can see that MNT-D is compatible, and all other compatible (mount)kit.

The 500 and 600 series have the same mounting system, so in general one would expect that a 6xx AP would fit on a 500 mount. Probably there are exceptions, so that's why checking the Ordering Guide is good to do.

Thankyou very much for that link, Herman. :)  I didn't even know that existed, I'm completely new to Aruba, so your help is greatly appreciated. What's the best place to buy one from? - and I don't really want to buy 10 as you mentioned before. If one is £18, then I don't really want to pay something close to £180, less economy of scale, for something I don't need. I'm sure you'll understand.
