  • 1.  WiFi 6 not recognized using AP-505

    Posted Aug 09, 2023 10:30 AM

    Hi,

i configured several AP-505 on my OAW-4550 controller (AOS 8.9.0.3)  but when i try to connect a device (compatible with WiFi 6), is not recognized.

WiFi icon is the standard one without 6 number.

Is there a setting that must be enabled on controller? High Efficiency SSID can be the guilty?

    Thanks a lot

"show ap association client-mac <mac address of client>" will say what the access point thinks the client capabilities are.  What client is this?

Also note that with WIndows clients, having an AX chipset does not mean the client works with WiFi-6. That's driver and Windows version dependent.

And make sure the client doesn't pick the 2.4GHz band because it's stronger. Checking client capabilities as suggested may be a good start.
